Author Biography

Michael Ray, Ph.D., is the first John G. McCoy-Banc One Corporations Professor of Creativity and Innovation and of Marketing at Stanford University. He is the co-author of Creativity in Business and is widely known for his research on creative thinking. Dr. Ray has appeared on several national television programs, including "20/20" and the PBS series "The Creative Spirit." Together with Dr. Catford, he has taught a course on the concepts of the everyday hero to business students, executives, and professionals that has been featured in such publications as Time, Fortune, and The New York Times. He lives in Santa Cruz, California.
